Fried Egg
A fried egg is not just a fried egg. From eggs up to overcooked an egg can be ‘fried’ in so many ways. Put some butter in a pan and break an egg onto a plate or a saucer. This will stop the egg from being damaged when you slip it into the pan. The egg can be sunny side up (cooked on one side) over easy (flipped and cooked from both sides) or even over hard with a broken yolk and cooked until both yolk and white are hard and beginning to crisp at the edges. Another method waits until the white is firm, then 2tbsp of water are added and a lid is put on the pan for 2 minutes until the egg is done. This involves less fat and the egg is firm but stays moist.
